# Plans and Billing

## Scope

Defines plan tiers, metering units, surcharges, credits, billing cycle, billing thresholds, plan-change proration, pricing model, and product surfaces for billing and usage.

## Metering and Reporting

| Metric                        | Unit     | Granularity        |
| ----------------------------- | -------- | ------------------ |
| Compute hours                 | Time     | Minutes            |
| Machine surcharges (Large/XL) | Time     | Minutes            |
| Job Runs                      | Count    | Integer units      |
| AI credit                     | Currency | \$0.001 increments |

**Data freshness:** Usage data can take up to 15 minutes to appear. Recent activity might not be reflected immediately.

## Billing Cycle

* **Billing anchor:** 1st of every month.
* **At anchor:** Charges for extra usage from the prior period and the subscription fee for the next period.
* **Signup proration:** Plan fee is prorated when signup occurs mid-month.
* **Period scope:** Included allowances and limits apply per billing period unless stated otherwise.
* **Currency:** All prices are in USD.

## Billing thresholds

* **Purpose:** On paid plans, Intuned can charge usage mid-cycle when accrued metered usage reaches an internal billing threshold for a billed resource.
* **Scope:** Billing thresholds are separate from usage alerts and hard limits. They are internal billing controls, not customer-configured limits.
* **Invoice timing:** When a billing threshold is reached, Stripe can generate and charge a mid-cycle invoice before the monthly billing anchor.
* **Credit-forward behavior:** Any amount successfully paid on a mid-cycle threshold invoice is credited toward the next monthly invoice for that same billing period.
* **Failed payment:** If a threshold invoice cannot be collected, the account can move to **Unpaid** and service can remain paused until billing is resolved.
* **Notification:** Workspace owners receive an invoice email for successful mid-cycle threshold charges.

## Credits

* **One-time AI credit:** Eligible accounts receive a one-time \$10 AI credit at signup. Credits are granted automatically — no action required. Rolls over until consumed. Applies only to AI credit usage. If your account is not eligible, you can [bring your own API key](/main/02-features/usage-pricing-monitoring-alerting#bring-your-own-key-byok) to use AI features without interruption.
* **Plan AI credits (paid plans):** Monthly AI credit included per plan. Applies only to AI credit usage. **Rollover:** Does not roll over.

## Bring your own key (BYOK)

* **Location:** [https://app.intuned.io/settings/own-keys](https://app.intuned.io/settings/own-keys)
* **Supported providers:** Anthropic, OpenAI
* **Behavior:** When a workspace configures a key for a provider, requests to that provider use the workspace key instead of Intuned's platform key.
* **Billing effect:** Requests routed through your own key don't consume Intuned AI credit or count toward AI spend.
* **Other metering:** Compute hours, job runs, captcha solves, and other non-AI usage still follow the active plan.
* **Coverage:** Applies to Intuned Agent and AI SDK methods used in workspace projects.
* **Agent requirement:** To use BYOK with Intuned Agent, configure Anthropic.
* **Fallback:** Removing a provider key returns that provider's requests to Intuned billing.

Notes:

* “Not available” indicates feature access is not granted on that plan.
* Surcharges are metered separately from compute hours and reported in minutes.
* \* The one-time AI credit is granted automatically to eligible accounts at signup. Eligibility is determined during account creation to prevent abuse. Accounts that are not eligible can [bring your own API key](/main/02-features/usage-pricing-monitoring-alerting#bring-your-own-key-byok) to use AI features.

### Surcharges

* **Large machine:** Plan-specific hourly adder; reported in minutes.
* **X-Large machine:** Plan-specific hourly adder; reported in minutes.
* **Accrual:** Surcharges accrue only when plan grants access to the corresponding machine sizes.

### Mid-cycle plan changes

* **Downgrade:** Effective at the end of the current billing period. No immediate fee changes within the period.

* **Upgrade:** Effective immediately. Charges and credits within the current period:

  * Prorated charge for the target (higher) plan for the remainder of the period.
  * Prorated refund/credit for the unused portion of the current (lower) plan.

* **Billing anchor:** Remains on the 1st of the month.

## Enterprise plan

The Enterprise plan is for teams that need custom limits, dedicated support, or tailored configurations beyond what standard plans offer. Pricing, resource limits, and terms are set on a per-agreement basis.

[Talk to us](https://cal.com/team/intuned/get-started) to discuss your requirements.

## Product Surfaces

### Billing

* **Location:** [https://app.intuned.io/billing](https://app.intuned.io/billing)
* **Functions:** Manage plan, view invoices, manage payment method, open usage details, access support, view plans, and review credits from mid-cycle threshold invoices already paid in the current billing period.
* **Plan Limits section:** Displays API Machines Deployed and included limit, workspace type, max API machines per project/app, data retention, and access to Large/XL machine sizes.

### Usage

* **Location:** [https://app.intuned.io/usage](https://app.intuned.io/usage)
* **Timeframe:** Month selector.
* **Summary tiles:** Compute Hours, AI Credit (\$), Pages Processed, Job Runs, Large Surcharge (hours), X-Large Surcharge (hours).

* **Usage by Project table:** Project-level breakdown including Compute Hours, Large Surcharge (hrs), X-Large Surcharge (hrs), AI Credit, Job Runs, Pages Processed.
* **Data freshness:** Up to 15-minute delay.

## Constraints and Invariants

* Metered values are reported using the units and granularities specified in **Metering and Reporting**.
* Overages for compute hours and job runs apply only after included amounts are exceeded for the billing period.
* Mid-cycle threshold invoices, when paid, reduce the remaining amount billed at the monthly anchor for the same billing period.
* Access restrictions (Large/XL machines, per-project machine caps) are enforced by plan.
* Data retention limits are enforced by plan.
